Sometimes the post-holiday period can feel a little dull after the twinkling lights and festive gatherings. Even though February is the shortest month, it can often feel like the longest as we look forward to spring and a new season.

We were recently brought in to prepare a home with three active teenagers for market. The home had not been updated in more than eight years, but to the homeowner’s credit, she was ready for a new look that would be easily transported into her next home.

It’s “officially” Fall now, and October is just a few days away, which means it’s time to prepare for cooler weather. This often includes creating a welcoming entrance for our homes to greet our guests during a more active social season.

When a dear friend called at the last minute and needed help preparing her home for market, we jumped into action. Here’s her story in her own words:
