Visually light yet sturdy, cane furniture feels especially right for warmer weather. We love the elegant lines and natural texture of this platform bed from Lulu and Georgia, featuring a curved cane footboard and headboard. For almost any room, a classic Marcel Breuer-designed chair from Knoll combines tubular steel with a cane seat and back for the perfect mix of comfort and industrial “edge.”

We always draw inspiration from William Morris’s rich, detailed designs. His fabrics and wallpapers are a wonderful way to bring floral motifs indoors. The British Arts and Crafts icon was a champion of artisanal techniques and created gorgeous, nature-inspired prints. The Art Institute of Chicago’s current exhibit, Morris and Company: The Business of Beauty, runs through June 13 and highlights the artist, designer, and writer’s enduring work. Be sure to check it out if you get a chance!
Finally, fabrics from Raoul Textiles are one of our favorite ways to add a pop of color and pattern to almost any decor. The family-owned, Santa Barbara-based company prints its vibrant designs by hand on Belgian linen, creating heirloom-quality textiles that are perfectly suited to warm weather.
