As much as I love fall in the midwest, recently I couldn’t pass up a wonderful opportunity: a 10-day trip to Africa with my brother. In Nairobi, Kenya, we were honored to make a donation from CMFTO to a phenomenal organization called Huru. The non-profit, founded in 2008, helps young girls stay in school by providing them with the supplies and knowledge they need to manage their periods and reproductive health.
Also in Kenya, we delivered a family foundation check to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which runs the most successful orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world. As a bonus, my brother got to fulfill his lifelong dream of kissing a baby elephant! Finally, we visited the spectacular Maasai Mara wildlife sanctuary, where we were treated to the natural beauty of the area, along with fresh, local food.

After an unforgettable trip, I was excited to get back home and reconnect with friends, colleagues, and clients. Dinner with a lovely client, who had many kind words about CMFTO, and a team member provided the perfect transition.
Finally, I was ready to dig into some of CMFTO’s always-satisfying fall projects — including staging homes for sale and helping clients declutter and organize overcrowded spaces like closets and basements.
