It’s an age-old question: How do you create a feeling of more space and more light in an existing kitchen without taking down any walls or changing out all the cabinets? The answer is:
You use color and materials to their best advantage.
In this recent kitchen re-do, we maximized the natural light by changing out the window. We then updated all the colors in the room, opting for a soft (but light) grey. We also added under-cabinet lighting and removed an outdated header separating the two spaces, lightening up the room even further.
The footprint is exactly the same, but the impact is huge.
All my best,
Claudia
